My Background: I’m a USAF veteran with a diverse career history that includes working on ground radio communications equipment to serving as a military training instructor. My passion for education stemmed from my military training instructor experience and led me to earn a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master of Education in Instructional Leadership. Throughout my career, I’ve held roles as a Founder & CEO of Kingdom Kids Preschool in Hawaii, middle and high school teacher, assistant principal, principal, public charter school founder, CEO, and superintendent. My experiences have not only shaped my professional life but also exposed me to discrimination, racism, personal trauma, and workplace trauma.
The Blog’s Purpose: inHERevolution is a sanctuary for women seeking empowerment, support, and resources to overcome the unique challenges they face in areas such as parenting, work, relationships, and societal pressures. We delve deep into the issues that often erode self-esteem and self-worth. The core theme of this blog is to help women reclaim their power and manifest the life they desire.
My Passions: I’m driven by my passion for personal growth and my belief that true leadership starts with leading oneself. I aim to blaze a trail, learn, grow, and then extend a helping hand to other women on their journey to empowerment. Healing and success, in my view, come from shifting our beliefs from negative to positive and aligning our actions accordingly.
My Journey: inHERevolution is an extension of my personal healing journey. A recent workplace trauma forced me to reevaluate my life’s path and rekindled my desire to help women who have faced similar challenges. I firmly believe that with a few changes, we can shape our desired destinies.
Our Mission and Values: The mission of inHERevolution is to compassionately assist women in triumphing over challenges that affect their self-worth, self-esteem, and recovery from trauma and discrimination. We empower women through self-reflection, inner transformation, and community support. Our vision is a world where every woman stands tall in her self-worth, unburdened by past pain, and thriving in every aspect of life.
A Personal Touch: Beyond my commitment to personal growth, I’m a sports enthusiast and a proud mother of four sons. They keep me active and remind me of the importance of simplicity and joy in life’s simple pleasures. Whether cheering on the sidelines or savoring life’s small moments, I cherish the beauty of slowing down and appreciating the journey.
